Eric Lonergan is the Head of the Macro and Portfolio Manager of the Calibrate Discretionary Macro Strategy. Before joining Calibrate in 2024, Eric was a portfolio manager at Eisler Capital, the global multi-strategy firm. Prior to Eisler Capital, Eric ran macro long-short and asset-allocation funds at M&G Investments, including co-managing the award-winning Episode Macro Fund. He was also sole manager of the Episode Growth long only multi-asset fund, which was top quartile over one, three and ten years at the point of his departure. Eric was a Managing Director and Head of Macro Research at JP Morgan Cazenove. He has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from Oxford University, and a Master’s in Economics from the London School of Economics. He has informally advised central banks and governments and published a series of influential papers on monetary policy. Eric co-wrote Angrynomics, a Financial Times book of the year in 2020.
