George Nijborg is head of insured strategies and EU private placements. He leads the team responsible for government guaranteed, insured credit, corporate private placements and Aegon AM’s Private Credit LTAF. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Goldman Sachs as an executive director in the debt capital markets (DCM) team in London, focusing on the origination and syndication of public, private and structured debt transactions. Prior still, he worked as a director in the DCM team at Citigroup, and as an associate in the DCM team at Morgan Stanley in London. George has been in the industry since 2006 and joined the firm in 2020. He holds a master’s degree in industrial relations from Warwick Business School, England.
